As always, I felt very safe in your class.

I have been partial to revolvers. With a revolver misfire; just keep pulling the trigger. With a semi-auto misfire; the fight is over.

Perhaps Ed McGivern’s exhibitions in the1930’s influenced my prejudice. Five shots, in 0.45 seconds, at 15 ft, into a 1 inch group. Simultaneously throwing six clay pigeons into the air, drawing the revolver, and breaking all six before hitting the ground. Throwing a playing card into the air, drawing the revolver, and splitting the card in half. Hitting a man-sized target at 600 yards. Many more almost unbelievable feats recorded in “Fast and Fanciful Revolver Shooting”.

However, you showed me that, at my skill level, a semi automatic is a better choice. In my first concealed carry class, you took me aside and showed me how to reload a revolver. After about ten hours of practice with a speed loader, I was still clumsy and slow.

With a semi automatic, ten minutes of practice yielded a safe, smooth reload.

I have a semi-automatic that does not jam or misfire. My life depends on it.

Really enjoyed the course, you provided a lot of good information in conjunction to the CCW training. Will do a course with you again when needed.

Content is relevant, Mike uses examples to enable understanding and learning. He leaves no room for misunderstanding the rules and expectations during the qualifying, he’s clear and concise. During qualifying he ensures people understand it’s not a race and reiterates that we should relax, take our time. He’s a fantastic instructor.

Instructor is one of the most overly qualified yet passionate believers in the subject matter that you will find anywhere in the country. He is professional, courteous, extremely knowledgeable and experienced with a good sense of humor and high social IQ. His knowledge and understanding of the legal piece combined with real world tip of spear tactical experience is extremely rare to find in one individual. Do not think twice or even consider shopping around for another instructor. We are very fortunate to have Mike to lead us into this endeavor.

Great class, Mike. My only observation is that you used the term “cover” to refer to clothing that is worn over the holstered firearm. Unless that garment can stop a bullet, perhaps a better word would be “concealment”. Thanks for the class. // y

This was an excellent and very educational renewal class. I liked how Mike went in-depth into specific state laws, such as the red flag laws and justifiable laws, and the old laws still on the books (ie justifiable homicide in defense of property) and how they do/do not pertain to modern society. I also enjoyed the review of failed legislation, how impactful it would have been, and how likely it is to be brought forth again. Mike is about as knowledgeable as possible on all topics covered, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in CCW

100% worthwhile! This course suits all walks of life & in my opinion should be a requirement in Life 101. I am eager to continue on this learning path for more knowledge all the while increasing situational awareness, skills and confidence to be an active participant in my own rescue.

Great information was presented. Especially liked current gun law presentation. Would like a bit more information on how to deal with gun anxiety.
