This training was conducted professionally and in a very safe manner. The instructor used good classroom materials and was knowledgeable on the course. The shooting portion of the training was conducted in a controlled, safe, and professional manner. I have had the opportunity to work with the instructor on occasions and he always conducts himself very professionally.
In addition, the Facility was great for this type of training.

Michael Grimler is very knowledgeable and engaging as an instructor. This was a 4 year renewal but I was easily able to obtain new, useful knowledge, not just a refresher on old information.
Like everyone else taking CCW training, I hope I never have occasion to deploy my CC in a defensive situation but if I do, I’m sure the information from this class will be highly beneficial.

Michael is a very knowledgable, experienced firearms instructor and is very personable while staying factual and task oriented. Safety first and creating a relaxed but focused classroom instruction, he is excellent. Thank you so much, Michael!

As always, I felt very safe in your class.

I have been partial to revolvers. With a revolver misfire; just keep pulling the trigger. With a semi-auto misfire; the fight is over.

Perhaps Ed McGivern’s exhibitions in the1930’s influenced my prejudice. Five shots, in 0.45 seconds, at 15 ft, into a 1 inch group. Simultaneously throwing six clay pigeons into the air, drawing the revolver, and breaking all six before hitting the ground. Throwing a playing card into the air, drawing the revolver, and splitting the card in half. Hitting a man-sized target at 600 yards. Many more almost unbelievable feats recorded in “Fast and Fanciful Revolver Shooting”.

However, you showed me that, at my skill level, a semi automatic is a better choice. In my first concealed carry class, you took me aside and showed me how to reload a revolver. After about ten hours of practice with a speed loader, I was still clumsy and slow.

With a semi automatic, ten minutes of practice yielded a safe, smooth reload.

I have a semi-automatic that does not jam or misfire. My life depends on it.

Really enjoyed the course, you provided a lot of good information in conjunction to the CCW training. Will do a course with you again when needed.

Content is relevant, Mike uses examples to enable understanding and learning. He leaves no room for misunderstanding the rules and expectations during the qualifying, he’s clear and concise. During qualifying he ensures people understand it’s not a race and reiterates that we should relax, take our time. He’s a fantastic instructor.

Michael is an exceptional instructor. He knows the material and remains well informed of changes over time. He presents it effectively. He engages with the class, taking time to listen to and address questions with care and sensitivity. His focus on and awareness of range safety is commendable.

I always enjoy your classes. Updates on current laws and legislation is valuable. And the anecdotal incidents that illustrate what can happen provide food for thought.

Wish you would have shown revolver reload before range time. That is the way I learned to do it but was afraid to do it since it points up not downrange. You always do an excellent job.

The renewal class was every bit as a good as the initial CCW class. The content is relevant, educational, and Michael does a great job of conveying the information. Further, safety takes priority, and Michael is very good at making what could be a stressful experience (course of fire), nonintimidating and confidence building. Thanks Michael - see you in a couple years, if not sooner.

Michael know his stuff, likely more than anyone else in the area. He also knows how to teach a good and effective class. He is particularly accommodating in helping students through technical issues with their equipment. Very highly recommended, couldn’t hope for better.

I thought the legal review was excellent; it’s the best I have ever encountered. The implications of Concealed Carry in NM are complex and Mr. Grimler has done an excellent job trying to make us more aware of our responsibilities and potential liabilities. The citations of NM law were completely new to me. The range shooting exercise was also excellent because range safety and awareness were discussed and then demonstrated. Overall, this was the best refresher I have ever attended.

Very in-depth presentation on NM laws and the personal responsibilities of CCW holders.  Range and course of fire were very safe and run efficiently.  I have recommend Mike’s course to friends who have expressed an interest in CCW.

Instructor is one of the most overly qualified yet passionate believers in the subject matter that you will find anywhere in the country. He is professional, courteous, extremely knowledgeable and experienced with a good sense of humor and high social IQ. His knowledge and understanding of the legal piece combined with real world tip of spear tactical experience is extremely rare to find in one individual. Do not think twice or even consider shopping around for another instructor. We are very fortunate to have Mike to lead us into this endeavor.

Very interactive and funny at times which kept everyone interested, the time flew by. I like that the class was small. Very good class, thank you.
