The Permit Renewal class is on Sunday, starting at 8am and ending about 4pm. 

Permit holders can take the renewal class no sooner than 60 days ahead of their permit expiration date. Permit renewal classes can also be completed within 60 days after permit expiration dates, without having to take the entire 2-day class over again.

There is classroom content as well as shooting the NM DPS course of fire.

Permit holders must shoot the course of fire with the same categories and calibers of firearms listed on the permit.

Please take note -- if different categories and calibers from the current permit are used to shoot the course of fire, the renewed permit will reflect the different categories and calibers.

• EXAMPLE: If a semi-automatic .45 caliber was used to shoot the course of fire for the original permit, but for some reason, the permit holder does not have access to a .45 caliber semi-automatic and can only shoot the course of fire with a 9mm semi-automatic, the renewed permit will reflect the 9mm semi.
  

You will not be allowed to carry concealed after your expiration date until you receive your renewed permit.
